The Mysterious Encounter at the Cavity of Jewels

In 2002, my spouse, my two stepchildren, and I ventured to the Cavity of Jewels in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, to dig and sift for precious stones. Our accommodations were on a property adjacent to the Cavity, separated by a large stream. The property offered teepees and a cabin, which we initially rented a teepee due to its coolness. However, my spouse wasn't fond of it, so we moved to the cabin.

The cabin was built on stilts, allowing me, at 6 feet tall, to walk beneath it with a couple of feet of clearance. The ground beneath the cabin was bare, and as the rain started, the soil became damp and muddy. We had removed our shoes before entering the cabin, and I was the only one sitting on the bed, leaning against the wall with my head against a small headboard.

Suddenly, something hit the wall about two feet above my head. The impact was like a heavy hammer, loud and forceful. The wall was at least 13 feet off the ground outside. My stepchild, a hockey player, and I quickly put on our shoes and ran down the stairs to investigate. We expected to find someone running away or something on the ground, but there was nothing.

That night, we heard strange noises outside. My spouse and I went out onto the deck with our 35mm camera. The woods were about 50 feet away, and we began taking pictures at random. Some photos showed spheres, one with 5 or 6, and another with 30 to 40. Another picture had no spheres but a long, pink and purple tracer at the edge of the woods, weaving through the trees.

When we returned home, we printed out the photos and enlarged one of the sphere pictures. The sphere had multi-pastel colors with what appeared to be a face in the center. We couldn't make out the face clearly. We told the property owner about the incident, but he showed no concern or apology.

Eventually, my spouse got the pictures.
