The Haunting VHS Tape

Companions, the story I am going to tell you all is about an exceptionally shocking and interesting occurrence that took place with me way back in the early nineties when I was youthful. We had recently brought a video cassette player (VCP). For those who are not familiar with the video cassette player, let me explain it to you. Those were the days when VCRs (video cassette recorders) and VCPs were in full swing before the advent of VCD and DVD players and laser disc era.

Now, let me come to the main story.

My father had just brought a few video cassettes from a shop near his office for our whole family to watch. Everything was going on cheerfully when suddenly that alarming occurrence took place with me. I remember it so vividly as if it had happened just a day before yesterday.

My parents had gone out, and my senior sister and I were watching video movies on our video cassette player. Suddenly, my sister fell asleep, and I was alone watching a film. Soon the film finished, and I felt the urge to watch another video tape. I inserted the video cassette and was watching the other movie when suddenly the video cassette went blank, and on the dark screen of the TV, I saw an evil face grinning in a fiendish way and saying something. At first, I thought it was just my imagination. But afterward, what I saw and heard was an exceptionally hair-raising thing I've ever experienced in my life. I saw the wicked face grinning at me in a fiendish way and saying, "Companion, wherever you go, wherever you stay, I will be following you continuously," and the face had an evil grin on its lips.

I chose not to talk about it to anybody and ejected the tape from the video cassette player. I chose never to touch that video cassette tape (VHS) ever again, and it is still lying in our old pantry. Other people have seen it, but they experienced nothing unusual or untoward. Only God knows what the evil voice and that face belonged to. Waiting persistently for your views on the story. Thank you.
