A Disturbing Whisper in the Night

I'm hesitant to share this experience, but I feel compelled to document it somewhere. On the night of January 17th, between 2 and 4 am, something deeply unsettling happened to me.

As a light sleeper, I'm often awakened by the slightest sounds. This night was no different. I stirred from my sleep, aware of the chill in the air and the weight of the heavy blanket I shared with my younger siblings. Pulling the blanket closer, I covered half of my face, seeking warmth and comfort.

Suddenly, I heard a whisper. At first, I thought it was my father's voice, but upon closer listen, I realized it wasn't. The voice, soft and close, repeated the word "Dao" several times, which translates to "give" in English. Fear gripped me, and I froze, my breath catching in my throat. The voice seemed to hover just above my head, an unwelcome presence invading my space.

The next few hours were agonizing. I felt a strange sensation, as if my body remained in bed while my soul was transported elsewhere. It's difficult to explain, but I was acutely aware of something happening to me, yet I was powerless to move or speak, left only to shiver in fear and confusion.

This experience has haunted me ever since, and I haven't shared it with anyone until now. Posting it here feels like a way to release some of the burden and perhaps find some understanding or insight into what transpired that night.
