A Chilling Encounter in the Maharashtra Jungle
My aunt, known for channeling a Devi (a form of goddess) during auspicious occasions, provided a sense of security. In Hinduism, the presence of a Devi is believed to offer protection from evil and supernatural harm. However, my uncle's decision to stop for the night in a dense jungle, despite his wife's concerns about potential dangers, led them into a nightmare.
After enjoying dinner and settling down for sleep in their car, my uncle awoke around 3 a.m., feeling thirsty. As he reached for water, he was met with a horrifying sight – a woman in a white saree, her long hair swaying in the breeze, stood outside their car, a demonic grin plastered on her face. Fear gripped him, and he felt the cold hand of death upon him.
Remembering a locket of God kept in the car's dashboard, he quickly put it on, seeking divine protection. Simultaneously, the evil spirit extended her hands towards the car, her ethereal fingers passing through the windows. In a panic, fearing for his family's safety, my uncle jumped into the back seat to shield his wife and son.
The ghost attempted to harm them, but the combined power of the sacred locket and the innocent presence of the newborn baby repelled the evil entity. As dawn approached, around 5 a.m., the spirit vanished into thin air.
Traumatized by the encounter, my uncle drove through the jungle with frantic haste until they reached the safety of Mumbai. Only when they arrived home did he share the horrifying experience with his wife.
